My name is Nate I have been living with Larsen's Syndrome for 20 years. I had dislocation of both knees, hips, and elbows, along with short stature. When I was born I had a hyperextended right knee. Since I have been born I have had 7 operations to correct some of the problems. When I was born the doctors didn't think I would be able to walk, but happy to report at the age of 4 I started to walk. My hips were worked on but one hip just kept dislocating, so as it stands now I have 1 hip dislocated, 2 knees, and 2 elbows. My back has a slight curvature (this is the only way I could be able to walk, so somehow god found a way to make it work for me. I read some more info on the disorder but I didnt have facial abnormalities or hearing problems so that was lucky. The hardest part of having this disorder for me is being 20 and 4'3". In today's society I have heard every stereotype in the book. All I can say for parents that have children with this disorder is be supportive and never give up hope!!I hope that this message will get to some of you, and god bless all.
